Supporting Sustainability in Amazonas And Around The Planet
The Amazon Rainforest is the most biologically diverse ecosystem on planet earth. It is also the largest land based carbon sink. This makes it our primary point of focus. We securing, manage and protectect Amazonian rainforest and its biodiversity. We are currently developing sustainable models to protect against deforestation and at the same time promoting and preserving ancient wisdom and culture that has been distilled over the ages.
We are realizing this through forest care taking, reforestation and environmental projects combined with modern systems of permaculture, agro-forestry and sustainable tourism. Initial financial and logistical support is provided through the foundation, with local sources of income being developed as projects develops This will be realized through environmental tourism, cultivation of natural medicines and organic/super foods and other high value crops. The aim is to support the indigenous communities to move away from the capitalist model by creating local self sufficiency and an economy based on sustainability through natural and intellectual resource management.
As the foundation grows we hope to develop the model from our experiences in the Amazon to initiate similar projects in other key areas around the planet.
