We understand that the carbon offset theory is somewhat flawed, however until there is some better way to calculate environmental footprint to money ratios we are using it as a ballpark way to make a calculation. (any suggestions gratefully received)

We hope by supporting and connecting with the foundation it will help to raise your awareness of the complexity of an environmentally unsustainable lifestyle and through our relationship we hope to help you to implement sustainable personal lifestyle changes.

All donations to the TreeSource Foundation are invested in a sustainable manner. Please note that only a percentage of this is in tree planting projects this is done only where required i.e., in areas of deforestation through agriculture or natural events like forest fires.
We also plant fruit and medicinal trees/plants as future alternative economic source, land is also acquired/secured from deforestation and we pay locals to care take it (this stimulates a sustainable economy and truly protects the land - as any unattended or unguarded land is logged for hard woods and squatted for clandestine slash and burn farming) we also develop eco-tourism projects as a way to further support a sustainable economy and supply locals with environmentally friendly technology such as solar power and rechargeable equipment, as well as hard wearing quality clothes and outward bound/work equipment and tools.
